Jai mata Mahalaxmi Dahanu chi Mahalaxmi is the famous in the konkan region and south Gujarat region. peoples believe that the goddess Mata Mahalaxmi use halt here visit to Gujarat from kolahapur so this place has old history here there are two temples on at the village vivalwedhe but famously known as Mahalaxmi temple other at mountain known as Mahalaxmi Gadh here all puja functions are perform by satvi pariwar and at Mahalaxmi gadh Bolade pariwar during hanuman jayanti here is the biggest function perform every year know as Mahalaxmi chi yatra is for 15 days is only the biggest event in Dahanu region many people from parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Daman-Diu,Dadra Nagar Haveli are visiting the place.
Here in Dahanu there are two temples of Goddess Mahalaxmi. One is situated on National Highway Eight at charoti Naka and other main one is situated on the mountain called Mahalaxmi HIll nearby 3 to 4 km.The goddess Mahalaxmi is the family dety of tribes,so during festive period,the trials arrange Tarapa dance for their revelry.Every year a festival is held here called Mahalaxmi chi Yatra for Fifteen Days starting from Hanuman Jayanti.
